Congratulations to Victoria and Ashton! This spring, the newlyweds had the most gorgeous Southern wedding day at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ashton and Victoria’s wedding day was elegant, romantic, and parts of it still live rent-free in my brain as some of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever photographed. I can’t wait for you to see every detail of this gorgeous wedding!
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Wedding
From the moment I arrived to capture Victoria getting ready, I knew that I was in for a special day. Ashton and Victoria’s details were STUNNING! I’m still obsessed with the gold detailing on their invitations – and that was just the start. Victoria began to get into her wedding dress with her mother’s help. Her dress is incredible! It’s strapless with the most beautiful floral lace overlay and the most darling sleeves she could put on during the morning! Absolutely stunning gown!! She and her father had a sweet first look before she met Ashton.
Their first look took place under one of the trees on the grounds and the light coming through the moss is one of those moments still living in my brain. It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for this intimate moment between Victoria and Ashton. Eventually their wedding party joined them – and when I say this wedding was classic, you’ll see why! Beautiful satin gowns for the bridesmaids and tuxes for the groomsmen, all of which looked perfect under the mossy trees.
Louisiana Wedding Day
Looking back on Victoria and Ashton’s wedding, the thing that stands out most was that everything was so fluid and seamless that day and everyone was able to truly enjoy each and every moment. It was perfect – and lots of fun! As the night wore on and the party began, there was never a dull moment! Victoria is a dance instructor and her mom owns a local dance company, so there were no boring moments out on the dance floor!! One of the best moments from their reception was her and her mom dancing with the band. It was so fun!! Her fellow dance instructors also surprised Victoria with a choreographed dance to open the dance floor up in the evening. Beyond the fun, their reception was simply gorgeous. Everywhere you looked there were overflowing pink and white roses. It was like Ashton and Victoria brought a beautiful spring garden right into their tent. Simply stunning!
