Elise is now Mrs. Markerson, so I can officially share her bridal portraits with you! We met up at the beautiful John Nickerson House in Lafayette LA for her session. This beautiful home is a 1891 VIctorian mansion – and I love the elegance the home exudes. It was perfect for Elise’s classic Southern bridal portraits – a chance to show off her beauty and incredible bridal look.
Bridal Portraits at John Nickerson House
Elise looked stunning during her bridal portraits at the John Nickerson House. I was personally obsessed with the removable skirt on her gown. It’s amazing – and I love how she has two great looks for her celebration. I’m a sucker for a large ballgown skirt, so it’s fun that Elise can have a full gown for her ceremony and then remove the big skirt for the evening. Two bridal looks are becoming really popular for 2024 and 2025 weddings and this is a great way to follow that trend!
Why To Schedule Bridal Portraits
Bridal portraits serve as timeless mementos capturing the beauty, grace, and anticipation of a bride. They provide an opportunity for the bride to show off her gown, hair, and makeup in a relaxed setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding day itself. Personally, I love that bridal portraits allow for a more intimate and personalized session. We don’t have to rush or cram in these beautiful portraits on an already busy day.
