Mari-Catherine and Jacob are married! Congratulations to these two absolutely wonderful people. Photographing their wedding day was a true joy – partly because they were just SO happy all day long! I don’t think I saw Mari-Catherine without a smile at any moment on her wedding day. You can’t help but feel happy and joyful when the people around you are that way. Mari-Catherine and Jacob’s Oakbourne Country Club wedding day was so beautiful – and I’m thrilled to be sharing it on the blog today.
Lafayette LA Wedding Day
This elegant wedding took place in April, and I absolutely adored the pastel details Mari-Catherine had for me to photograph when I arrived at her bridal suite. Her bridesmaids had actually gifted her a gorgeous blue box to hold all of her details – and can be passed down later on it. It was so thoughtful (and fun to photograph!). She and her ladies prepared before they helped her go meet Jacob for their first look. Mari-Catherine and Jacob chose to do a first look under the oaks along the side of St. Charles Borromeo, before their Catholic ceremony. It was a wonderful little spot for their private moment together!
Oakbourne Country Club
After their traditional church ceremony, Mari-Catherine and Jacob welcomed their guests to Oakbourne Country Club for their reception. Before they headed into the party, I whisked Mari-Catherine and Jacob around the property for more portraits (with more oak trees!). They were absolutely enamored with each other, it was so sweet to watch!! You can tell their love is SO real. Oakbourne Country Club is gorgeous! There’s lots of neutral space so you can bring the vibes you want to your wedding day. Mari-Catherine and Jacob chose beautiful pastel pink, blue, and white flowers. I’m still obsessed with the arrangement they had over the fireplace with their cake!
When you scroll through Mari-Catherine and Jacob’s wedding day, you can feel the joy in their photos – especially throughout their super fun reception. Everyone who knows Mari Catherine agrees that she ‘radiates joy’ and I have found it to be 100% accurate. Her and Jacob were the cutest together all day and truly just enjoyed every moment with them! I’m so happy for you both, Mari-Catherine and Jacob. Congratulations!
