Mr. & Mrs. Bailey

Peyton & Josh were married on May 30th, 2014 in St. John’s Cathedral. I’m so glad I was chosen to document their wedding journey (engagements & bridals) because I have gained two great friends in the process! I really can’t say enough about these two. Peyton is one of the sweetest gals I’ve worked with and I’m kinda sad it’s all over! These two have an amazing relationship with each other, their families, and with God. Peyton got ready in a beautiful friends house with all of her (hilarious) bridesmaids. The weather had been quite wet leading up to their wedding day, but thankfully, there wasn’t a drop of rain to be seen on the day of!

Annie Tayor - Would love some of these pictures to post on The Knot!

Sarah - Annie,

Sure thing! Shoot me an email and we can get that set up!

Valorie : Rip Van Winkle Bridals

Valorie chose to shoot her bridals at the beautiful Rip Van Winkle. When I showed up that morning I had no idea what her dress looked like, but when I saw her walk out in it, my jaw dropped. This blush dress is fit for a princess(probably why it looked so good on Valorie)! On the day of her bridals it must have hit 95 degrees outside. I cooouuuuld be exaggerating, but my goodness it was hot. And humid. But Valorie was such a trooper!

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Lalanne! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful!

Kat & Marty : Jungle Gardens Engagement

Kat & Marty may be the two most easy going people I’ve ever come across. They are down for whatever and so laid back! I’ve run into Kat a few times at The Madison in Broussard where she bar-tends for other peoples weddings. Now it’s her turn to say “I do” and I cannot wait until their September wedding!

Personal Work : DIY Backdrop

A couple weeks ago I really got the urge to do something different than what I’ve been shooting. I quickly started trying to plan another ‘styled shoot’ when I came across a great DIY backdrop on Instagram. It didn’t quite fit in with my theme for the shoot I was already planning but I figured I’d throw it in anyways since I’d already have three stunning girls there to model! I’m glad I did because it gave me a kick of excitement for my seniors this year!

I can’t wait to get my film back from the full styled shoot – but for now – I’m loving the outcome of this fun, youthful backdrop!

Jessie - Wow! Beautiful…what kind of lighting did you use?

Sarah - Jessie – this was all with natural light outside!

Mr. & Mrs. Piro

I was SO excited to shoot my first wedding at Rip Van Winkle Gardens for Kelsey & Josh. Thheeennn I saw the forecast for that day and begun to worry. I met them at RVW and was automatically smitten by Kelseys amazing gown! I still cannot get enough of the detailed beading on top combined with a simple bottom! Despite the forecast the weather ended up being absolutely perfect (typical Louisiana). However, there was one hiccup to the day. Kelsey’s sister, and maid of honor, had gone into labor and unfortunately had to miss the wedding. At least she got her hair and make up done first, right?! But really – Kelsey and her family handled it all so graciously. During the reception they got word that the baby was born and it was such a beautiful moment! ( I admit, I shed a tear… or two).

I feel so blessed to have worked with Kelsey & Josh. They are honestly such genuine people and I’m so so happy for them!

P.S. I’ve NEVER shot (or even attended) a reception with this much dancing! I could barely get on the dance floor!
