Every so often I get the itch to go out and shoot for myself. Take an afternoon and experiment more and more with film, new locations, new lighting, etc. No pressure, no expectations, just pure experimentation. I recently got a Nikon F5 (35mm film camera) and really wanted to test it out, so I called up Courtney (Courtney Nicole Photography) to come play! I originally planned on shooting in a studio set up- but I started running out of time so we decided just to go downtown. I shot with my Nikon D4, Nikon F5, Mamiya 645, and an old Yashica. Needless to say – I had my hands full hahaha BUT I think every artist (no matter what medium they work in) should always go out and experiment with new materials because there is always room for growth!
These shots are a mix between a few different film stocks; Kodak Porta 400, Fuji Pro 400H, and one roll of Kodak Tri-X 400 (black and white). As well as a couple digital shots at the very end! Feel free to comment and let me know your favorites whether it be color film, black and white film, or digital!
